Why should I choose Flame?

Flame is still the industry standard for fast Online work. Whilst other low-price desktop solutions have similar and sometimes more advanced feature sets, no other machine on the market gives such fast feedback to both the artist and the client. A lot of the features in Flame are now almost realtime, thus largely reducing render times.

Should I work HD or PAL?

Flame's resolution independent workflow, means that handling a multitude of different resolutions is no longer an issue. Of course, HD being 5 times the size of PAL will take a little longer to render, but for most tasks the difference is barely noticeable.*

Which Suite should I work in?

To be honest it doesn't matter. Both machines are fully equipped with identical software and are connected via Autodesk's Wire network which allows lightning speed transfer of material between the machines. So if you started your job in one machine and for some reason need to lift it over to the other Flame, it really isn't a problem. The only choice you need to make is which operator you wish to work with.

* Bear in mind that when working with 3D in HD, this may require much larger texture maps that may result in longer render times.
